Being a millionaire doesn’t mean you’re always staying out of trouble. Lately, a 61-year old British multi-millionaire was attacked by someone in a local pub. Together with three other people he was kicked and shoved to the ground in a frenzied attack.
Pub visit at the wrong time
In April 2016, the 61-year old John Bowman won 10.3 million pounds in the National Lotto jackpot. At first he thought he had won 10.000 pounds, but it appeared to be much more. That’s what you call luck! Bowman celebrated his win by drinking a beer in his local pub. In January 2017 he decided to visit the Burns Bar in Angus to relax. Sadly the millionaire was there at the wrong time.
In the bar a guy named Marshall Baer went into a fight with his ex-partner. At first, the couple just screamed at each other. The frustrated guy suddenly decided to attack the woman. She was kicked and pushed to the ground. In his rage, Baer also kicked another woman and John Bowman. While the man was still attacking people, Bowman even fell to the ground. Luckily he wasn’t injured very much.
Charged with assault
Baer was charged with assault and breach of peace afterwards. Later on it this was not his only violation of the law. The guy had also driven at excessive speed between Forfar and Letham. He even lost control over his car and hit a pillar. The vehicle was severely damaged, and the driver himself had some injuries. Baer is currently on bail, on the condition that he doesn’t approach Burns. A trial will be held at March 17.
